The game was released three years later, and originally was not received very well, as many of the levels felt barren and unlike what many players would’ve expected from a game of this caliber. With this promise from the developers, the game was funded quickly, and Yooka-Laylee began development. ![]() Starting originally on Kickstarter, the game toted its veteran developer team as the main selling point of the game, pointing out that the characters and worlds are going to feel just like they did in the Nintendo 64 days. While -Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts may have been the final nail in the coffin for franchise, some of the developers behind the original Rareware came back to start a new company called Playtonic, which created a new game called Yooka-Laylee. ![]() Many 3D platforming fans have been wanting a true collect-a-thon platformer in the modern-day, and many point to the game Banjo-Kazooie.
